Depression Medication
The first response of a diagnosed depressed individual when medication is suggested is usually negative. But take a second to try and understand what the medication is for and not the stigma that you need medication.
There are various types of medication, but the idea is basically the same. The medication is meant to chemically balance the current state to give you a better chance to resolve the issues surrounding your depression. If you were low on iron or vitamin c, you would not think twice about taking medication. So why then would people not want to take medication for depression? The reason is usually because it sounds like you are “nuts”. This is the furthest from the truth. Depressed people are usually lacking some chemical that needs to be put in a more normal state. Therapy or counseling will help you understand what put you in this place and help you. There are some people that simply are missing the right chemical balance that need intervention with medicine. Stop wasting time and start your feeling better now. The best recovery results according to research experts is medication as the first line of defense and therapy will increase your likely hood to full recovery in 70% of the cases.
